IRWA 2014 Education Conference

The IRWA 2014 Education Conference has come and gone – and what a conference it was! Over 1000 people attended the Constitution State’s convention, and the Flairsoft team pulled out all the stops to make sure that each and every one of them knew the name ‘Flairdocs’ by the time they left! From showing off a brand-new arsenal of marketing materials, to dining with the top minds in Right of Way, to entertaining our clients and guests atop the Hilton Hartford Hotel, the Flairsoft team had a wonderful time in Hartford, and helped conference attendees ‘unleash their efficiencies through innovation’ at each step on the way. Here are some highlights that the Flairsoft team experienced: Flairdocs Man, Away!

The most striking issue, for sure, was Flairsoft’s presence in the exhibition hall; out of all 50 booths in the hall, there was only one that glowed. Literally. Flairsoft’s new booth, seen above, was a 10 by 10, thoroughly-modern, back-lit display that showcased the industries that Flairdocs serves. Its signature image, that of a man using Flairdocs while monitoring a RoW project in the field, was reproduced across our marketing materials as part of the 2014 campaign, ‘Unleashing Efficiencies Through Innovation’. But what no one expected was just how successful one of the marketing images would turn out to be. As much as anything can be said to have ‘gone viral’ in real life, the man on our trade show booth ‘went viral’ at IRWA 2014. ‘Flairdocs Man’, as he was affectionately dubbed by the team, was the subject of everyone’s affection and delight, and to everyone’s surprise, was one of the more popular photo ops at the convention! Everyone who passed by, young or old, male or female, wanted to get a ‘selfie’ with the unofficial Flairdocs mascot for the year. On more than one occasion, visitors switched from business-oriented persons to giddy conference goers in an instant when they saw Flairdocs Man, and the photo ops ensued. The Flairdocs booth also became known for its giveaways during the conference, giving out light bulb stress balls (to highlight ‘innovation’), car chargers (to highlight the portability of Flairdocs), and, as described by no fewer than 10 separate people at the conference, ‘the best pens at the convention’. All in all, by the time the booth was torn down and the exhibit hall was emptied, Flairdocs was branded, not only on our stress balls and brochures, but on the minds of everyone who passed by. A Suite Way to Spend an Evening

While pre-planned events and meetings rolled on at the Convention Center, Flairsoft was hosting a little hospitality of its own. The 2014 Flairsoft Social took place in the Hartford Hilton Hotel, in a suite overlooking the greater part of Downtown Hartford in a sweeping, panoramic view of the city. There, conference goers were given a chance to wind down from their busy schedules to have a drink, some food, and learn a bit more about the people who make the gears of Flairsoft turn. Flairsoft’s marketing team provided tremendous support in all aspects of the convention, and certainly in the social, where they brought their excellent event planning (and even bar tending!) skills to bear on the night. With their help, the event featured a full bar, a diverse array of food options, and even music to boot! It was, in the end, an excellent way to spend an evening.
