Flairsoft Sponsors Cultural Festival and Concert for Charity

Aug 17, 2014: Flairsoft proudly sponsored the 16th annual FIA India Festival and accompanying Kumar Sanu concert this August 16-17, helping breathe life into a one of a kind celebration of Indian culture in Central Ohio.

The festival, an annual event held this year on August 16 at the Ohio Expo Center, featured an entire day’s worth of Indian cultural exhibitions, food, games, and more. It was originally begun by the FIA (Federation of Indian Associations) in 1999 to promote cultural diversity and awareness in the Columbus region, according to the Federation. Since its inception, it has become extremely popular with Columbus locals, experiencing a jump in attendance, according to the FIA, of more than 500% over the past 5 years. Due to its popularity and reputation as a cornerstone of the Indian community in Columbus, Flairsoft felt that it needed to attend and sponsor the conference, and took on the highest level of sponsorship to ensure the success of the event.

“There is a large, local community presence there, and it is a great way to attract local talent,” said Nick Kulshrestha, Flairsoft Vice President of Operations. “Plus, it’s just a great way to give back to the community.”

The festival preceded a concert by famous Indian Singer Kumar Sanu, a leading figure in Indian music particularly known for his playback work in Bollywood films. The concert, also sponsored by Flairsoft, was intended to end the festival with a bang, and President Dheeraj Kulshrestha and VP of Operations Nick Kulshrestha had the pleasure of personally introducing Mr. Sanu to the crowd before the concert.

The sponsorship itself goes not only to assist in the deeds and service of the FIA and the Festival, but also towards the construction of a new Ohio State University Research and Development center, the sustaining of the Columbus Art of Living association, and other charitable destinations, making the sponsorship a true boon to the community.
